Happy “where’d all my money go?” new release Tuesday, everyone!

As you know, the most exciting day of the week in this community is the day that follows the one we all dread (Mondays for the nope) and today we’re going to highlight some of the new books chipping away at our bank accounts — but each one is so worth it.

Tokyo Ever After by Emiko Jean is “The Princess Diaries meets Crazy Rich [in this] story of an ordinary Japanese-American girl who discovers that her father is the Crown Prince of Japan.

Pumpkin by Julie Murphy is the final (!) novel in this world, apparently, and is about drag, prom, and embracing your inner Queen.

Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid | May 27, 2021 (UK) is the story of one unforgettable night for a family and it all started with a party. Totally intrigued.

Threadneedle by Cari Thomas | May 27, 2021 (UK) is a much hyped release about a alternate London where magic is a sin. It sounds like this one straddles YA and adult genres.

The Couple by Helly Acton | May 27, 2021 (UK) is such a clever and witty novel about a slightly dystopian view on love.

Shards of Earth by Adrian Tchaikovsky | May 27, 2021 is a space opera series starter with aliens, lgbtqia+ characters and enhanced humans.
