Each month, we’ll be putting together a list of our top most anticipated releases; from romance, to sci-fi, to fantasy, and everything in between. These releases might be ones we’re counting down the days for or ones we’ve already read and want you to read (and love!), too.
What you do need to bear in mind is that living on different continents we have different release dates. So as a general rule there might be some repeats from one month to the next.. it’s not that we’re just being weird. Though we can’t dismiss that totally out of turn.
For November, our hotly anticipated titles, in chronological order, are :
BEARD NECESSITIES by Penny Reid marks the final (!) Winston Brothers‘ book. Or does it? Right now there are a million spinoffs from the Smartypants Romance imprint for the universe but from Reid herself? I think this might be it. And also, hey, little known fact : it’s also Billy and Claire’s story. The real story. Not a prequel. The. Story. Our bodies are ready. BEARD NECESSITIES is out November 4, 2019.
[insert ‘it’s been eight-four years’ gif here] THE STARLESS SEA by Erin Morgenstern is the author’s sophomore release eight (!) years since THE NIGHT CIRCUS entered our lives. We would’ve been clamouring for this book, desperate for it, no matter what the plot. And as for said plot, do we really even know what it’s about, beyond books and doorways and.. maybe bees? Nope. Gimme. THE STARLESS SEA is out November 5, 2019.
THE BROMANCE BOOKCLUB by Lyssa Kay Adams has a hilarious premise. Gavin seeks support from a secret romance book club run and attended by men in an attempt to save his marriage and revive his sex life. Out on November 5, 2019, who’s in the queue for this one?
CALL DOWN THE HAWK by Maggie Stiefvater is the much anticipated spinoff of the author’s Raven Cycle series which we are super pumped about. Not just because this is Ronan-centric. But because it’s more of this world. We can’t wait to reunite with both Ronan and other familiar faces but also be treated to something very different. CALL DOWN THE HAWK is out November 5, 2019.
THE TOLL by Neal Shusterman is the final book in a series that.. neither of us have read. But have we been convinced to read it by hearing about everyone else’s excitement? Yes. THE TOLL is out November 5, 2019.
DEADLY LITTLE SCANDALS by Jennifer Lynn Barnes is the sequel (second installment?) to the author’s Debutantes series. This is a YA series that, well, has a lot of scandals. Also debutantes. If you liked Pretty Little Liars, you’ll love this series. And even if you don’t (we’ve never watched the show), you’ll still like it. This one is also out November 5, 2019.
GET A LIFE, CHLOE BROWN by Talia Hibbert is a story you’re going to want to pick up the moment it releases which, you guessed it, is on November 5, 2019. The heroine in this book is fat, chronically ill, and trying to spice up her life so she doesn’t die whilst being boring. The key to help spice things up? The landlord in her complex who may or may not be a soft boy but also not without his own sharp edges, too. Not only does this sound amazing but it’s also the start of a new series!
SUPERNOVA by Marissa Meyer is the final book in the Renegades series. While typing this we struggled to remember what happened in book two and then, after consulting GR, realized we never read it. Whoops. Guess we’ll be playing catch-up but we do enjoy this twist on the typical superhero trope. SUPERNOVA is out November 5, 2019.
Neither of us have read THE WICKED DEEP, Shea Earnshaw’s debut novel, however, after seeing WINTERWOOD described as, “a haunting romance set deep in the magical snow-covered forest, where the appearance of a mysterious boy unearths secrets that awakens the enchanted, but angry, woods.” We were sold. WINTERWOOD is out November 5, 2019.
THE HOW & THE WHY by Cynthia Hand is a story told in dual perspectives alternating between a pregnant teen mother giving her child up for adoption and the child looking to discover where she came from. This sounds like it’ll wreck us and we are here for it. THE HOW AND THE WHY is out November 5, 2019.
GIRLS OF STORM AND SHADOW by Natasha Ngan is the second in this F/F fantasy trilogy. Lei and Wren are traveling rebel clans to gain support after the crescendo of an ending to book one. Exciting! And it’s out on November 5, 2019.
We doubt we need to remind anyone that THE QUEEN OF NOTHING by Holly Black, the conclusion to The Folk of the Air series, is out November 19, 2019. Does anything else even need to be said about this? Nope.
BLOOD HEIR by AmĂ©lie Wen Zhao had a bit of a hiccup earlier this year leading up to prepublication and ended up getting pulled for further edits (or so the story goes). But now it’s back and it’s coming to a bookstore near you on November 19, 2019. We don’t know about you but we are excited this story has had a chance to live another day. Can’t wait to read it.
There’s a flurry of releases on November 19, 2019 and OUTMATCHED by Samantha Young and Kristen Callihan is the author coupling of our dreams. This is a story of a boxer and geek…tell me more you say? This is an opposites attract story and we’re looking forward to seeing where it goes.
